Unpleasant Saturday night dinner. Plus side we were seated immediately.
Let's start off with service. Now I don't know if our waitresses was having a bad day or was stress out over the small private party that was going on (which all the servers of the restaurant were attending), which she wasn't even attending but she was not friendly at all and had an attitude when taking & bringing our orders. If your staff can't handle a small party and serving the rest of the patrons, wouldn't it be best just to close the restaurant for that small private party?
The food took forever to arrive. We pretty much filled ourselves with the bread and water. Ordered a soup, pasta fagioli, and it was sour. My friend ordered a snapper and received a salmon. The waitress, instead of informing us that there was no more snapper simply brought out the salmon & then proceeds to inform us that the kitchen was out of snapper to at least enjoy the salmon so he can eat long with the rest of us and leaves the plate for him.  No visit from the manager to apologize or address any concerns.
Aren't you supposed to inform the customer, before the kitchen makes the meal, if certain ingredients or dishes aren't available?
She then proceeds to tell us that the meal wouldn't be charged but when the bill arrived, only the two desserts and one coffee were deducted. No visit from the manager to apologize or address any concerns.  If you're looking for some good Italian food, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

I recently visited this restaurant twice, once for their hearty and delicious beef lasagna and once for their lean and tasty chicken piccata with broccoli. I loved the meals, loved the music (1950s-1960s jazz, swing and bossa nova with some recent artists), and the service was friendly, attentive, prompt, and helpful. Nice decor with tranquil, romantic ambiance. Very reasonably priced meals. Free parking. I recommend it to all.

Living up to its very Italian name, this place is a great spot to enjoy some authentic Italian food. The fact that I live in Miami Lakes and make it out there to enjoy some pasta, says it all!

The location is central and right off the palmetto. It is an intimate place, but still spacious enough to hold a small party or two in a separate area they have set up. Some of the staff there has been with the restaurant for years, which goes to show how family oriented they seem to be. It's also nice to see a familiar face when you go to a place like that.

I love most of the dishes they offer. I always start off with their house salad and bread. This last time I went, I ordered the shrimp diavola linguini with spicy red sauce. It was great, except for the fact that I was sweating throughout my meal. It was a little uncomfortable to eat because of how spicy it was. I specifically asked the waitress if it would be very spicy, and she reassured me that it wasn't. My taste buds beg to differ! Although it was spicy, you can definitely taste the flavors, and it was good.

First time going, last time. Omg I had the worst scare of life, a mini heart attack. I almost didn't make it out alive.. It was daytime and this guy came out like it was all good, this little friend joined me at my dinner sitting, it came from the other side by the kitchen, I can only imagine. The food was great! the waitress was okay, but the food runner was a b..... she slammed our plates, rolled her eyes every time I asked her for something and then when we told her about the roach she didn't bother killing it. They didn't even give us a discount or comp my meal. Horrible experience.
